To further enrich the lives of our students, the Dean's Office for Inclusive Excellence is seeking your support in making a positive impact. We aim to offer a stipend to our student ambassadors, starting Fall 2023, for their commitment to our college and their contributions to the campus and community. Furthermore, we endeavor to expand our programming and provide these students with more opportunities for personal and professional growth.
About Our Fulbright College Student Ambassador Program:
Fulbright College began a student ambassador program in 2021. Each year, we select a group of ambassadors to help create a sense of belonging for all students. Our Student Ambassadors represent various disciplines in our college. They are engaged in the following:

The Need
We are seeking to raise $10,000 by August 31st in order to:
Currently, our student ambassadors volunteer their time to participate in this program. They commit 2-3 hours per week, which adds up to around 35-40 hours each semester. We’d like to offer these stipends as a token of our appreciation for all that they do.
We hope to expand our programming by providing professional development opportunities, such as engaging with the arts and sciences in our local area; facilitating internships for our student ambassadors; and hosting more cultural competence workshops.
In the event that we do not reach our $10,000 goal, all contributions will still go towards enhancing our student ambassador program. If we exceed our goal of $10,000, the additional funding will help us build a sustainable program for years to come.

20 represents the number of Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences students who will participate in the program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
One student meal on campus is $10.75. This amount represents the cost of 5 meals in Fulbright Dining Hall. By providing stipends to our student ambassadors, we hope to support them with essential expenses like this.
Each student will gain leadership and professional development experiences. The average cost for each student's professional development experience is $80.00. For example, this past spring students participated in cultural competence workshops, a reception and conversation with the deans of Fulbright College, and classes in ceramic art at the Community Creative Center in Fayetteville.
Our student ambassadors share lots of fun facts and U of A history while giving tours to prospective students. For example, did you know the university is over 150 years old? We were established in 1871 and recently celebrated our sesquicentennial!
Each student will receive an annual stipend of $500 for being a Fulbright College Student Ambassador.
Our 20 student ambassadors will collectively volunteer a minimum of 1,400 hours over the course of the academic year.
