How do I find any digital bookplates associated with my gift? We'll send you directions in a follow-up email. Your honoree will also receive directions for finding any digital bookplates in their name on their personalized keepsake. 

Can I make gift to put a bookplate in a printed book? Hardcopy bookplates are possible through endowed giving. Contact Rachel Krest, Director of Development, at rachel@uark.edu to find out how you can start a collections endowment! 

Can I specify the book title on which the digital bookplate will be displayed? Simply specify the field of study, and our librarians will do the rest. Unfortunately, specific titles can't be requested through this program. What will my Celebration Bookplates gift support within the University Libraries? All gifts made through the Celebration Bookplates program go to the Friends of the University Libraries fund, which provides the Dean of the Libraries flexibility in allocating support for the most pressing Libraries priorities within an academic year. Because of this, Friends of the University Libraries gifts have the capacity to make a big impact on all University of Arkansas students.    

How will the person I’m honoring be notified of this tribute? The University Libraries Office of Development will mail your honoree, or the family in case of a memorial, a unique keepsake along with the information needed to view the digital bookplate.

Can Celebration Bookplates be made for more than one honoree? Only one honoree can be chosen per gift made. If you'd like to celebrate additional people, simply return to the giving page to make additional gifts in honor or memory of those you wish to celebrate. 

Who can view Celebration Bookplates? Anyone online can see the bookplates (which is part of the beauty of going digital!). 

Why should I honor or pay tribute to someone with a Celebration Bookplate? There are many reasons! Honor someone you love with this unique gift to celebrate graduations, retirements, birthdays, weddings, or other milestones. You can even pay tribute to a life well lived. Celebration Bookplates live on in the University Libraries catalog. Plus, your gift also goes to immediate work supporting the Libraries' quest to provide the information and resources students need for academic success. (We see it as a win-win!)

Are gifts through the Celebration Bookplates program tax-deductible? Celebration Bookplates gifts are considered charitable giving. An official receipt of your gift will be sent for your records.

How long does the process take? While it certainly can take less time, please give us up to 10 business days to complete the full process.
