The Shotgun Sports Club 'Shoots' Past Their Goal!

November 25, 2019

That's a wrap!

Hello everyone! Our fundraising campaign has finally come to a close and we blew past our goal of $5,000.00 and raised just over $7,000.00! Everyone on the team is beyond excited about what this money can do for us and we all extended our gratitude to everyone who donated to our team or helped spread the word of our campaign. With this money, our team will have the privilege to travel to more competitions during the spring semester and support more members in terms of practice and equipment costs. We truly could not have done this without each one of our generous donors.

Thank you all again,

Keaten Stokke & the entire Shotgun Sports Club

The Shotgun Sports Club Travels To Nashville!

ACUI Eastern Super Shoot & USAS Qualifier

Hello everyone and thanks for checking out our fundraiser's last update!

We have hit an incredible 140% oour target goal for this crowdfunding campaign, and we want to say thank you to everyone who has donated thus far and a special thank you to Preston Spainhour for matching $1,000 in donations!

This past weekend our team had the great fortune of traveling to Nashville, Tennessee to compete in the ACUI Eastern Super Shoot for the first time. We competed in skeet, trap, sporting clays, and super sporting clays. This was the first competition that three of our newest members have ever participated in and they loved it! The team had a blast honing our skills at the Nashville Gun Club and we couldn't have done it without the help from our donors.

With only 3 days left of our fundraiser, we want to encourage everyone to spread the word about our cause one last time. For those of you who have already donated, from all of us in the Shotgun Sports Club, we want to express our deepest gratitude to you for your support.

$1,000 unlocked and 4 days to go!

November 18, 2019

We are so excited to share that Preston Spainhour’s matching gift challenge has been met! An additional $1,000 was unlocked for our club, bringing the running total to $6,958. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our FundRAZOR during this dollar-for-dollar match. We are so grateful for your support!

There are just four days remaining in our crowdfunding campaign, and we have the potential to surpass our goal even further. Please join us as we continue to share the story of our team and spread the word about our FundRAZOR. The more funds we raise, the more resources we will have to travel to competitions, invest in safety equipment, and improve our shooting skills.

Thanks again for your enthusiasm and generosity!

Double your impact and help us shoot past our goal!

We are less than halfway through our fundraising campaign and the donations we have received have already hit the 84% mark! This is remarkable progress, and we are so thankful to everyone who has donated thus far!

Starting today, our coach and former president Preston Spainhour has promised to match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000! With 16 days left in our campaign, we have the ability to raise an additional $2,000 and blow past our $5,000 goal.

Please help out and spread the word about this exciting matching gift challenge!

Meet the Coaches!

October 29, 2019

Meet the Coaches!

Hi everyone! We wanted to provide an update to all our donors and website viewers of how our FundRAZOR crowdfunding campaign is going thus far! So far, we have raised more than $900, which is INCREDIBLE! We want to give a huge shout out to everyone who has donated to our cause already as it means the world to us. From everyone on the Shotgun Sports team, THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you haven’t already, we highly encourage you to share our campaign page (https://fundrazor.uark.edu/shotgunsports) on your social media accounts and with friends and family. We are only one week into our campaign and have a long way to go to hit our goal in the next three weeks!

For this update, we wanted to put a spotlight on our coaches who work hard to ensure our team is competing at our absolute best. These individuals, most of them alumni, take extra time out of their schedules to work with our shooters individually on all disciplines. Two of our coaches compete at the national level and one of them at the Olympic level. We have some extremely talented people that we are lucky enough to call our coaches and our friends. Below you will find some background information on these outstanding individuals.

Preston Spainhour – Coach [Former President] (Alumni)

Preston Spainhour is perhaps our most decorated alumni and coach. To this day, Preston makes an active commitment to our team to ensure we are improving our shooting skills and have the necessary resources to complete. He loves to help us any way he can and often brings all our gear and equipment to tournaments in his own personal trailer. He donates funds and tries his best to make sure our team is functioning to the best of its ability. Check out this YouTube video of a UATV interview with Preston when he was an undergraduate student. He is an extremely competitive shooter who competes at the Olympic level to this day.

Callan Seale – Coach

Callan Seale is from Dripping Springs, Texas and started her shooting career in her freshman year of high school. Since then, Callan has won many notable awards in competitions locally, nationally, and abroad. She received the Oklahoma Regional’s Central State Lady Champion, Schreiner Shoot-out's High Over-all (100/100) and Kill Phil’s Je. Champion, Double AA1, and Double Lady Champion. She desires to be a mentor, friend, and example for all of those around her and use her experiences to help other shooters. She is a renowned shooter and former assistant coach of the Gebben Miles Shooting Academy.

Coleman Jarvis – Coach (Alumni)

Coleman Jarvis is from Prairie Grove, Arkansas and started shooting competitively in high school on the 4H team. He continued shooting through college and joined the Shotgun Sports Club when he transferred to the University of Arkansas during his sophomore year. He says he has never felt more welcomed in his life when he initially joined the team. Coleman stayed with the team until he graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2018 with a degree in biology. He is still actively supporting the team and has taken the role of a coach by teaching new members how to shoot new disciplines and how to enroll and compete in tournaments.
