One Day, One U of A is COMING SOON! Come back on April 10, 2025 to make your donation!
The Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) was created to educate and empower women as philanthropic leaders. This group works together to support scholarship, research and service projects that enrich the quality of life of women and children while engaging Arkansans across the state.
Through the creation of a Land of Opportunity Scholarship, the WGC aims to empower future generations of Arkansas students by providing them the ability to pursue their education without the burden of financial stress. In addition to financial support, this scholarship initiative includes opportunities for mentorship, academic coaching, financial planning, and career readiness programs.
Working together, we can expand access to higher education for those with the greatest need. By investing in this scholarship, you will empower students to achieve their academic goals and build brighter futures.
The WGC was created 23 years ago by the founding members of the Women and Philanthropy Committee and Campaign for the Twenty-First Century Steering Committee.
Projects funded by WGC grants have impacted all 75 counties in Arkansas.
The WGC has funded 162 grant projects to support scholarship, research and service since its creation in 2002.
Arkansas spans 670 diagonal miles, a reminder that U of A graduates will make an impact across the entire state after graduation.
In 1953, the Arkansas General Assembly adopted “The Land of Opportunity” as the state’s nickname, looking towards a brighter future as our students can with this scholarship.
