International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of women and a call to action to continue to make positive changes in the lives of women around the world. The 2022 theme for International Women’s Day is “Break the Bias." The WGC will purchase books for middle schools across the state featuring diverse characters and inclusive story lines. By allowing children to see themselves represented in books, we hope to break the bias and help contribute to a world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Literacy improves health and economic outcomes while empowering girls and women. We hope another outcome of this project is an increased love of reading and creation of life-long learners. By donating to this project, you are helping the WGC enrich the quality of life for women and children throughout Arkansas by promoting scholarship and service through outreach across the state.
