Honor the inaugural class of CARE scholars! All majors are different, and each of them have a specific story to tell.
The CARE scholarship was initiated in 2014 due to the vision and contribution of Richard Greene in order recruit and retain underrepresented, first generation students at the university.
Most professors require students to buy a clicker for pop quizzes and attendance. If they don’t have a clicker, they lose points from their grades.
$100 can provide the scholars with an All Access Pass to Razorback athletic events. In addition, they will also receive the Collegiate Member pass. This allows students extra opportunities such as early entrance to all SEC games.
Students taking any math courses are required to buy an Access Code in order to complete their online assignments. If they do not have a code, then they will not be able to pass the class.
Some of our scholars take Biology for their general sciences elective. The class requires that you buy the textbook (plus code), goggles, and gloves. Donating $171.95 will cover the science portion for our students.
Most incoming students pay $1856 per semester for a meal plan at the UofA. This 15 Meal plus plan includes 15 meals a week as well as $175 of flex dollars – where they can eat at the Union.
The newest class of CARE scholars will graduate in 2020! We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them!
