All in for Arkansas is a fun and fast-paced online fundraising event to celebrate the 145th birthday of the U of A and make a big, big difference by raising $100K in a day.This virtual party begins at 6:00 a.m. on March 29th and will run 1,871 minutes in honor of the university’s founding year. All in for Arkansas unites all who love Arkansas, near and far, to rally support for all areas of the university. Are you "All In" to make history on the Hill?

Bricks in the Wall

It took 2.5 million bricks to build Old Main, the most iconic building on the University of Arkansas campus. The north tower stands 130 feet tall and the south tower stands at 123 feet tall.

Seniors on the Sidewalk

Stretching more than five miles, the names of UA graduates are memorialized in one of our most unique traditions—Senior Walk. In 1986, university employees invented the Sand Hog, a machine that took the place of stamping names into the concrete by hand.

It’s Greek to Me

Located at 980 W. Dickson and modeled after the Theatre of Dionysus in Athens, Greece, the Greek Theater was given to the university as a gift from the Chi Omega sorority in 1930. From 1934 – 1991, the space under the stage was used for a rifle range by the Army ROTC. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The highest point on the University of Arkansas campus is the Rosen Center on Maple Avenue. At 1,465 feet above sea level, you are the biggest man or woman on campus when you stand here.

The U of A was officially founded in 1871 and welcomed its first class of 8 students (7 male and 1 female) and 3 faculty members in 1872.
